More Americans “Pro-Life” Than “Pro-Choice” for First Time

Or at least that’s what the results of the most recent Gallup Poll suggests (May 15, 2009).

“A new Gallup Poll, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves “pro-life” on the issue of abortion and 42% “pro-choice.” This is the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.”

There are a lot more interesting questions with interesting answers on Gallup’s site HERE.

For what it’s worth, I’m pretty surprised.

What do you all think?

I think God breathed the breath of life into each one of us and gave us choice. I would never harm a child, but I worked in an abortion 6 months, after much prayer. The woman’s life and choice are hers alone. I do not endorse it, but I have seen over 600 women wrestle with this decision. In all those experiences I have only met two women I would turn away. One who cheated and one who was using abortions for birth control. Now late term is a much different story….Just FYI, and not to be smarty, but there is an awful lot of moralizing by men and that’s a bit self-righteous as there is not 9 month carrying of another human-and pretty much, there is only 1% of men who care for children. I offered a contract protesters stating if they would help with money, time or love, the woman wouldn’t have the abortion. No one ever signed.
